Do you offer online therapy?

Nurture Hope Counseling is a fully online practice, providing Telehealth sessions through a secure and HIPPA compliant video platform.

Is virtual therapy effective?

Yes. Research shows that video-based therapy is as effective as in-person sessions for many issues. It also removes barriers like travel, scheduling stress, and geographic limitations.

What platform do you use?

All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant, secure video platform.

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes, at Nurture Hope Counseling we take confidentiality very seriously. Feeling safe and respected is essential for meaningful and effective therapy. We will not communicate your information to anyone unless we have a release of information that you have consented to. However, in rare cases we are legally required to share information with concerned authorities if you are at risk of harm to yourself or others, i.e. suicide or homicidal threat.

How should I prepare for my first session?

Find a private, quiet space, and ensure a stable internet connection. You don’t need to prepare anything else-just come as you are.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, Nurture Hope Counseling is private pay. Superbills are available for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.

Do I need to be in therapy for ever?

No. You will not be in therapy forever. The length depends on the nature of problem you need help with.

How frequently will I have sessions?

Generally, clients schedule sessions weekly or biweekly based on their need for addressing the issues for counseling. Clients who make progress can schedule sessions once a month if they are making progress.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
